What is an Adverb?
|
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb. It can also modify an adjective or another adverb. Even so, they usually modify a verb. They can come before or after the verb that they modify. Most adverbs are created by adding -ly to an adjective. For example, loudly or quietly. Remember, though, that not adverbs are formed that way, like never or often.
